Not to beat a dead horse, but I thought I should mention the most important
part of extending stocking foot wader life... socks on the outside of the
wader foot. This is particularly true with thin -or- form fitted wader feet
but applies to neoprene as well. The extra sock worn outside fills the void
between boot and wader to keep rocks out and binds what little sand that
might get in within the fabric to prevent an abrasive situation from
damaging the material. The design of the sock counts. This is an old
steelheader's trick from the Pacific Northwest.
