After going through several outfits, this is what I am now using: L.L. Bean lightweight waders (the green ones, not the gore-tex, about $218) with a wading belt and fleece sweat pants on cold days, swim shorts in summer. Easy to move in and comfortable as hell. I also use Bean's Aqua Stealth boots -- these things work!!! I was skeptical when I bought them, but they really do adhere to slick rocks. You won't be able to dance a jig in 'em, and caution is always needed on weedy or slick black and green patches, but I've used them extensively on the rocks without a single mishap. They've also put the sole on some sandal type shoes that may be worth checking out.
