The Barrington and the Warren were the first places I fly fished for stripers in the 60's with Al Brewster, Ed Leonard and occasionally Harold Gibbs. The hot spot was at Mattewson Rd. We pulled bass out from under the boats on an outgoing tide. Moved up to the eel grass and fished shrimp flies. Took some hunkey fish then. The area your fishing was always considered a schoolie area and at Tiffiney Pond the herring run was left to the bait fishermen. The area around the brook was always open until the owner of the house next to it closed off the right of way.
