Hope everybody had a good winter. Went out to MV last w/e to open up the house
and had a chance to get a line wet on Monday (4/21). They're baaaack (or at least
I landed a single schoolie) at Wasque on Monday morning. Nice to feel a tug on
the line after these long months. Can't believe the change in geography that
occurred on Chappy over the winter/early spring. Wasque Point (or a least the
beach) is a goner. The rip is still there but the big wide beach that used to
exist at the corner of Norton Point and East beach has eroded away. When I went
out on Monday I drove down Norton Point, then had to drive up on to the Chappy
'mainland', over Dyke Bridge, then back down East Beach (on the Ploverless inside)
to get to the point. It's a 3 cup of coffee trip. Anyways, well worth the trip.
Beautiful sunrise and a fishie to boot.
It only gets better from here on out.
take care and tight lines
