Bill- Although we were fishing from our boat (Maritime Skiff with a poling platform), you can access the area of the river we fished by going down to Craigville Beach and taking a right instead of going into the parking lot. Follow this road until just before it ends. You'll see a small dirt parking lot on the right that is public parking. You then have to walk to the ned of the road and pick up a small footpath that will take out to the Long Beach stretch. Fish opposite the private docks you'll see on the other side of the river. That's the deep spot and the fish were in there thick.
