Also fihsed 2nd beach Sunday. Parked up top and fished from the rocks toward the
sand beach with no sucess. Now I at least know why, although with fly rod only
I probably couldn't do anything about it. Finally broke the ice this year at the
Narrow river with sevral small stripers. The only way to get a hit was to fish
a small clouser tied on heavy barbells with sink line fish upstream. Like trout
fishing a nymph, the fish were on the bottom and mouthing not hitting the clouser.
Wonder Why?
Also viseted the west wall and after three visets there this year have yet to see
a fish taken. Water temps are still between 43-47 degrees. Supposed to be a very
warm week and should get temps up a few degrees and get fish more active.
