It is not unusual to catch 100 striped bass per day on fly in the Roanoke River in North Carolina. The action is centered around Weldon/Roanoke Rapids which is easily accessible from I-95. Launch you boat at the free ramp and fish with deep sinking shooting heads and clousers tied on 3/0 hooks. Keep em simple. Let it sink and strip it back haRD but not too fast. Fish up to 20 pounds have been caught and one fly rod so far has been broken.
