Response to Bill Downing's comment about schoolies under the Bournes Pond
bridge whacking bait and ignoring anything he tossed.
I have fished at Bournes Pond many dozens, perhaps even hundreds of times and never, *never* caught a fish under the bridge. I've caught dozens of fish wadefishing inside the pond, standing on the sandbar and tossng jigs or flies
at the current; I've caught fish standing at the base of the bridge and tossing
whatever into the pond; I've caught fish at the end of the jetties; I've caught fish on the beachfronts on either side of the pond, but I have never caught fish under the bridge or in the channel.
I know its sooooo tempting; forget it...
