fished the south cape area with fellow reel-time reader michael powers saturday
at 4:30 a.m.we started @ moonakis river and took about 1/2 dozen fish, only one
was bright and that was about twenty inches. the rest were "ick fish".....we then
went to great pond and i took two fresh and fiesty fish...that was it but there
was a ton of bait in the water.....surprising not more fish!we then headed to
green pond and were greeted by a spin fisherman hooking fish after fish with us
getting blanked!he left we went to the tip of the jettie and wound up catching
about a dozen or more fresh fish......mike getting the largest probably 21-22inches,
but those little fish do put up a tussle we had a blast! then the fishing just shut down!
we then went to great pond jetties one fish a piece and thats it!the fish are getting
with each passing day and hopefully bluefish in the next few weeks!
