Stripers off Scussett & White Cliffs

I had the opportunity to poke around the flats/sandbars between Scussett Beach and White Cliffs and discovered newly minted schoolies holding in the deep backwater pockets located on the backside of the sandbars which were exposed at dead low yesterday (5/5/97). Not many schoolies, but enough to inspire confidence that in the coming weeks we will see more. This is a terrific place to fish, with access not a major problem as there are a number of public ways to get to the beach. And no one will hassle you. The outflow from Ellisville Harbor can also be productive on both tides. I was using a white deceiver and a chartreuse clouser with no noticeable difference. Still not much bait in sight. Anyone interested in hooking up, give me a shout.
