I have not fished in Maine yet, but talked to two people who avidly fish the Mousam
and Spurwink. They have both gotten a few small schoolies but said the water temp is
at the mouth is still only in the 45 degree range and fishing is very spotty. I have
had better luck early fishing upstream on the Mousam and at the gazibo on the
Saco than at the mouth. Email me if you need locations.

The Herring are starting and expect it to be very strong this year. New Jersey and Long
Island are having one of the strongest runs of mackeral in years.
