4-29-98: Black's Creek (Wollaston Beach, Quincy)

As Mike Powers predicted, this place has come alive. Fished it from an hour after

high tide to about 6 PM. Guys on the Merrymount jetty at one point were hitting

fish on every other cast. Guys wading (like me) were hitting fish every 10th

cast. The best lure by far was the rubber shad tail (pick a color, any color).

Small white bucktail jigs were doing OK too. Flies were patently ignored, which

was pretty strange. Guess the fish were in a "herring" kind of mood. Striper sizes

to 20 inches or so.
