I bought a rod holder, but decided against mounting it. There was a lot of
discussion about this last year, and the conclusion was basically it is too
tough and not really productive to fish from a moving Kayak. I can attach
my rod holder under two sets of bungee cords attached to the bow that keep it
more than stable. No mounting necessary. Also allows me to move it around
based upon wind and tide, etc.
