Is Plum Island a surf fishing place? Do you drive a 4wheel down to the water and set up? Down here in the Chesapeake Bay area we think white bucktails and Striper Swipers are supreme. Is that the lure of choice up there? Is night fishing the time of choice? Just don't know what to expect as far as lie of the land (sand, rocks, etc), type of water situation, or technique for up their. I've heard of Pencil poppers and some kind of imitation eels, but don't know if they are for real or just more K-Mart stuff. What do I need to know? Could someone give me some suggestions?
