Fishing the merrimac in N. Andover for a lunchtime delight I hooked and landed 2 3-4 pound shad; lost a bigger one which went airborne and spit the hook. I also saw 3-4 others landed by the assorted multitudes. Phew.
BTW - any words of wisdom on removing essence of shad from ones hands?
