Okay, so it was blowing 30-40 and REALLY fun once the rain started...tried a couple of
spots on Ocean Ave first -- the few places that allowed for casting
were invariably getting hit by so much spray that it would have been a constant saline shower...drove down
to some southern beaches and found TONS of weed -- and tough casting too...finally went down to Napatree and
after a walk to the point at the end, managed to find some schoolies -- ended up with 5 small guys (can we start calling them rats now that Halloween is over???) --
one of which had 2/3'ds of his/her tail gone!?!?! fish were feisty, hit hard, and
in the big surf made things quite exciting...especially the releasing part -- still not sure
why I went out in this pleasant weather, but it was FUN all the same!!!! --- jared
