Anyone looking for an exciting fly fishing excursion I highly recommend false albacore fishing off Cape Lookout, North Carolina. 3 days fishing from the Harker's Island fishing center at a very reasonable cost resulted in 30 or so albies. The fishing is basically chase the birds and find the fish. All of us know how to do this with bass and blues and its pretty much the same. Throw all hopes of fly fishing finesse out the window there's wind, position of the fish, drift and adreline combining to negate much of your smooth stroke. Just get the fly into the breaking fish and strip. You will hear your reel scream and scream some more like (I've) never experienced. The fish will sound or sprint you to the bitter end of your backing. I was using a 8/9 weight. Many others use a 10. (gordon, by the way, a few of those boats you saw on 10/31 were secret service keeping an eye on President Bush who was on his initial adventure with his guide horsley. Anyone interested in more info I'd be happ
y to share.
