The area around Horseneck Beach near Westport seems fishy, but I've never
given it much of a chance. If I were going there, I'd try Gooseberry Neck (a rocky
peninsula that sticks out just west of Horseneck Beach. I'd also try Allens Pond
outlet, which is about a mile east of Gooseberry. It's a small breachway that's
gotta be a striper attractor. Another place I'd try would be West Island Beach near
New Bedford. This is another peninsula that sticks way out into the bay and may be
a good intercept point.
