Bob - My apologies if what I wrote suggests any criticism of your reports; they're great and live up to the best that any of us who scribble reports can live up to.
I fully agree with Mark about the limits of any report and the necessity to generalize, given the fact that things can change from hour to hour, never mind tide to tide or day to day.
I guess my point was (and I probably didn't make it clear enough given my propensity for obtuseness) is that any fisherman out there should read the reports, get the general scoop, and then use what they know and go fishing. I wouldn't want anyone reading my report to skip a fishing trip just because of something in it; rather, read it and then draw your own conclusions.
Too many times I've read postings (and not from either of you!) that suggest some sense of absolutism out there. I don't want anyone in the fishing community to be fooled into believing that any of us have the answers - only suggestions that should be tempered by our own experiences.
Oh, by the way, there are still fish around the Cape - and not just at Scorton Creek!
