Eric, thanks for that cogent and plausible analysis. Can you give us any pointers to studies which support this? Preferably electronically accessible, but ink smeared on dead trees works too.
Many of us are interested in the health of the fishery. The group I'm involved with, CCA, is intended to provide a voice for the conservation minded sportfisher, yet we often have no more than the anecdotal data of "when I was fishing in the 70s..."
