Sorry for the empty post. What I was going to say is that, based on my own recent experieneces this fall and those of other well-known and foolish fishermen, there are large schools of large bass, very typical of the "Fall Run" a few miles Southwest of Block Island. These seem to be the same schools of big fish which were seen South of Nantucket and the Vineyard two and three weeks ago. As Mark Cahill stated, it seems these fish are staying offshore quite a ways and don't seem interested in touching down near shore. I think this is what has been typically happening the last couple years. The fish are there, but you're not going to get them in a 17' center console, and certainly not off the beaches this year. In addition, those who are finding and fishing these large schools of big fish tend to be the more "tight-lipped" amongst us.
