Falmouth shore early 10/3

The Falmouth shore near the West Waquoit jetties was not nearly the Albie playhouse that it has been the past couple of days...at least that was the case at 7:00 a.m. As I sat and read the paper I watched several boats leaving the East entrance of Waquoit Bay heading towards the Vineyard on absolutely glassy seas. Their early departure leads me to believe that it was pretty quiet up at the East end as well.

After educationg myself and having a cup of coffee I walked out for a few casts and managed 5 bass to 24 inches in about 15 minutes. Alas....the real world called and I had to leave around 7:45 but I had the impression that I could have caught schoolies for hours. As I was leaving there were a few ominous crashes a few hundred yards out but I guess the boat guys will have to fill you in on what those were.
