I fished Sandwich Creek this morning and managed a few small schoolies. This was not the low tide of the past few weeks when the fish were busting bait consistently. I did see a few breaks, but not many. One angler managed a few bass out at the mouth.
I proceeded to the canal with my 10 weight (it is brand new so I figured this is a good place to break it in although the other fisherman gave me some strange looks) and parked next to Joe's. I headed toward the jetty and managed three fat schoolies (about 9:30.) It was pretty dead up until I left at 11:00. Other anglers had mentioned the morning was slow. I did not see any keepers.
Off to Waquoit in the morning hoping to pick up some blues and bass. Oh, and maybe one of those "funny" fish too.
