My wife and some friends fished the river Sunday AM. I had weekend soccer and sunday school duty. A few schoolies and a very slow bite. They didn't venture out due to rough seas on the outgoing tide. I did the sandbar (which has changed shape considerably since June) Thursday evening (10/2) on the outgoing. No hits, lots of seals, beautiful sunset. The Surfland folks told me the bite is good at dawn along the surfside of PI, and the night fishing along the Refuge beach and Sandy Point has produced keepers.
