Mike,
I took your advice and made the long trip to the"big pond"on saturday.I put in in Hampton NH and fished the outside of the jetty at the mouth of the Merrimack.Caught 1 fish ~ 20".Moved south to the Parker river where my frend and I had done so well (the rocky reefs at the mouth)the week before. It was like a grave yard on the reefs.I was watching this guy in a hydrasport catching some small schoolies next to the beach, so I went to check it out. I tried not to crowd him as so many people have done to me this year. The fish were all over the place, and talk about a mixed bag ! These fish were between 20"-50",with lots of larger fish. They seemed to be just out of reach of the guys casting flies from shore. The problem for me was the same problem I have had all year,I can catch the 20"-30" fish all day long but to catch a NH keeper 32" or >, not me! I still have a great time with these fish and being able to see those monsters keeps me coming back.As far as I am concerned this is the o
nly "GAME" in town. I sure do hope these fish stick around alittle longer, because I am by no means ready to end it.
