Just to add a note to Allen's post on Buzzards Bay. Allen was able to put us on fish at almost every stop & drift. We were able to pick up fish either blind casting, or fishing to breaking fish and active birds. Allen picked up a fiesty 27" over Mashnee Flats, just a beautiful place to fish, with boad flats, lots of room, and sand and grass bottom. Closer to noon we spotted some breaking fish off the Flats, but they were moving fast and were probably something other than stripers? Buttermilk Bay was also productive and I picked up a good fish off the "skinny" water that was very active. Fishing off the Academy ship hull is a kick, a "can't miss" experience if there is one in striper fishing! A great time, lots of bait, lets hope the storms stay south and keep the waters calm. We could be fishing into November!
Thanks for a great time, Allen.
