Went for walk in Potomac Overlook Park on Mon. evening and saw that the
river was teeming with fish. Mostly herring and shad. Ran back and got my
flyrod and fished from 10 pm til 12am. Couldn't buy a strike. Tried poppers
and Clousers. I hear that when the herring become a little thinner the stripers
will really show up, although I'm sure there are quite a few areounf now--its
just a matter of finding them. Any one with suggestions can feel free to
contact me or the group.
Gonna try again tonight. Hope the cold front didn't ruin things.
