Fished Sandy Hook point from 5:00am to 1:00pm. Only managed to get bitten off by
a bluefish. If your in to catching sea robbins, this is the place to be. The bait
guys were getting them on every cast. On the bright side just as I was about to
fall over from lack of sleep when pod of albacore busted into a school of bait about
15 feet in front of me, but of course I had 80 feet of line out and off they went
before I got a shot.<g> Rumor has it that they were thick to the south at the Fishing
Beach. I'm back out early in the a.m. hopefully to intercept some at Island Beach
State Park.
