Fished Plum Island both Sat & Sun, early morning during the first stages of the
outgoing. Down by the Captains Ladys. Both mornings found lots & lots of
schoolies breaking the surface out over the mussel beds just as the current
really starts to pick up speed. All well within casting range. All white
decievers seem to be the prefered fly. They should charge us a fee to have this
much fun. No real size to any of them, did pick up a couple in the high teens.
A couple of times I thought I was back guiding in Colorado. Casting to rising
fish in fast moving waters. I wonder if the would hit a Royal Wulffe. I think
I have to go back and try the same thing tonight to see if the same thing
happens during the evening outgoing. I bet it does.
