The shrimp I saw was about the length of my fingertip and caught
my attention as he was flipping on the surface. He drifted right
to me so I scooped him up. I also saw a number of bass breaking on
the surface, but did not see much in the way of sandeels. As Joppa
is more mud than sand, I guess I did not expect to find em there,
if they are, maybe next trip I will bring my rake. Anybody done this
with success? As this is the first time I have fished PI are for about
2 months, I cannot confirm what you saw was shrimp as well, but from
last weeks report, I would expect it was. The color was definitely
a light brown, so try to match it and it should be successful. You
might consider a floating line and greased tippet to keep it up.
That may be where I was going wrong.
