Steve - did you see bonito also or only albies? On Fri and Sat I saw more bones than albies with an interesting mix appearing off O.B. with each school seeming to take turns popping up by the dock.

Vineyard Haven inside defintely was mostly bonito with West Chop loaded w./ falsies.

As to my orange boat friend -0 yeah - he and his buddies were screaming back in forth in a language I didn't recognize as they zoomed hither and yon in search of fish.

I actually have less problem w/ the big 40' boys than the mid sized Grady/Sea-Ray bunch. the big boys tend to sit in one place or slowly idle back and forth, but their lack of manuverability makes me think of them more as another fixed hazard to avoid than a mobile highly powered psycho.

Isn't it intereresting/depressing how easy it is to give into the herd mentality and join the run and gun set? It usually takes me about 4 or 5 charges w/ the herd before I say "why the hell am I doing this insanity" at which point I try to go to the
oppiste side of the harbor where boats are few and find a school of my own.

I'll be going down Thurs or Friday to give it the next shot...

L.
