Re: Tortola over Christmas

I spent a week on a sailboat in Tortola last April, and there was very little
flyfishing to be had. I resigned myself to snorkeling and sailing.
We anchored one night off Mosquito Island, very close to Virgin Gorda, and I watched
a guy flyfishing in the flats just inside the reef. I didn't see him get anything in
the two hours I watched him. (he had an hard-bottom inflatable, but waded most
of the time. At Vigin Gorda, we had drinks at the Biras Creek Resort and I, of
course spent time looking down at the Bones and barracuda cruising the shallows and
mangroves of the dingy landing/marina there. May be a little busy to fish in there, but
they're there. Have a great trip, even if you don't fish. (hard to believe, but
it CAN be done.)
