Finally signs of stripers in the Poppy Island channel! Each and every time I have hiked out to the end of the spit over the past 10+ years I've either looked at that channel and said to myself "there should be fish there" or cast at it a couple times uns
uccessfully. I've never ever caught a fish there which amazes me as it is a perfect funnel.
Glad to hear someone can catch fish there :-). I'd be willing to bet that some of the boat docks on the Poppy island side hold wintered over fish as they go down 10-12 feet deep.
