How about a canoe?

I've been toying with the idea of putting my 14 ft. White (Old Town) to better
use than collecting bugs under my deck. But I've always been hesitant because
an open canoe is nowhere near as seaworthy as a kayak. But it solves the gear &
fish stowage problems, and casting shouldn't be a real chore.

I guess if you pick your spots, tides, and weather conditions carefully, a canoe
can be reasonably safe. I'll probably try it at Brewster Flats next year when the
incoming tide forces the wading fishermen back to the shore (which is often the
best time to fish this place)...
