Back to the white perch for a second .... Jim McCaffrey says he catches them at Loop and Oregon beaches in Cotuit, and by that I infer he's catching them in the ocean, not in the salt ponds. I always thought they hung out in brackish to fresh water. Anyway, any one know of any places other than Nantucket's shoreside ponds where I can have a reasonable crack at a white perch? I've been curious about these fish for eight years and other than a picture of the world record in the Reel-Time gallery, have never seen one. I do intend to chase some schoolie at the Popponesset inlet this weekend if anyone is interested in joining me. DCC
