Thanks for the info. I am definitely gonna give this one a try. I once
paddled around pleasant bay for the fun of it, no rod in hand and got a
good work out. The other place I have used it with success is Nauset. I
launched from the boat launch at the end of Nauset ?? Rd. and paddled
out to the jaws stopping at likely looking spots as I went. Had good
success tumbling sand eels in moving current with the spinning outfit,
but very limited with the fly rod. The areas to fish are heavily dependent
on the tide, so the two times I have gone I have had success in completely
different locations. Going out with the outgoing, and coming in with the
incoming was much less work that the opposite. In the dark, there are
a few turns you must make to get around ?? Island, Tern Island? to get
out to the jaws, but without a 4WD, I found this to be pretty efficient.
I tried Joppa once with the Kyak, but found little benefit. Would like to
try Parker River, etc next year in the early part of the season.
Sounds like the Kayak Conclave is a potential!
