Neil - I have a Looksha Sport. Its about 15 feet long and faily narrow
24" I think. It tracks OK, but is a little wobbly in still water. The
primary stability is much better when moving at a good clip. Not something
I would want to fish out of in bad conditions.
Thorne - I would suggest meeting at Robbins Hill about 2.5 hrs
before low and head to the Brewster Flats sand bar. There is plenty of room
out there to accommodate many of us. Other places, I am not so sure about.
We jumped stripers there last year when the
bar was still flooded by about 3 feet of water on the far side of the bar,
but had no luck when we hopped out and tried to find em later. We could then
fish until the swimmers take off, and have a contest in the trough when
they bunch up. Alright, who wants to sign up? Canoes, I guess you guys can
come too!
