The well known creek is in fact the one you were referring to and which you have written about in past On The Waters. At dead low I got a fish or two in some of the upstream pools; once the current started flowing inwards things picked up dramatically.
I would not say it was a fish on every cast, but I was getting hit enough to believe that the schoolies were bunched up pretty good down there.
I quit after a dozen to share the spotw/ someone else...I kind of figured
