  • Hook: 253NA
  • Platform: Orange bucktail tied to flare horizontally.
  • Tail: Stiff orange hackle curve or dull side up---under ginger saddle curve side down---under orange saddle---under ginger saddle---under two strips of gold Flashabou---under orange saddle--under two strips of pearl Flashabou---under ginger saddle
  • Body: Honey amber colored deerhair clipped to form a wedged oval shape flat on the bottom and the top with the front extending out in front and above the eye of the hook, bomber style, to force the fly to ride on top of the surface. This face should be lacquered and the fly should be heavily greased before it is used. This fly is not a popper or a slider. It is a walker and will dance from side to side with proper manipulation. Leave the Flashabou a little long and fish it just fast enough to make it "Walk the dog".
