Boston Harbor, August 13, 2005

The fishing has really picked up in the harbor over the past few days and we’re seeing lots of small baitfish and lots of schoolie stripers and small blues. Lots of fun on light tackle and 7/8 wt. fly rods too!

Jer Jo Payne with a schoolie striper.

Jon Payne (fly fishing guide, Eugene, OR) with a Quincy Bay bass.

I have some available dates over the course of the next two weeks, so call to book the best tide possible.

Until next week, we’ll see you out there.

Best,

Mark N. Cahill has been writing and editing for Reel-Time.com since 1995. He started fishing in the mid-1960's and caught his first striper off World's End in Hingham in 1966. From there on in it was an obsession. He loves fishing for tuna, and fly fishing for striped bass. In a pinch, anything with fins will do...
