Boston

Not much in the way of reports this week.  Dryfly reported grabbing schoolies on the fly among the rocks this week. My truck’s been getting a new (used) rearend installed, so I’ve been completely down.

That said, I’d be looking at the outer rocks.  Boston Light, Graves, Faun Bar, etc.  The stick is another spot worth a look.  I’d also expect to find blues in deeper water off Nantasket during the daylight hours.  Not exactly fly rod fair, but you can usually grab them with light tackle and downriggers.

Mark N. Cahill has been writing and editing for Reel-Time.com since 1995. He started fishing in the mid-1960's and caught his first striper off World's End in Hingham in 1966. From there on in it was an obsession. He loves fishing for tuna, and fly fishing for striped bass. In a pinch, anything with fins will do...
