The end of the season is winding down. Albies, despite a massive sighting around the islands, have apparently followed Elvis and left the building. The die hard shore fly group are still getting fish as evident from the above photo. My most productive shore spot in the direction of Barnstable Harbor continues to produce small schoolies but I’m hoping for larger fish to move through.
South side I heard a report of pogies entering some of the harbors and being chased by big bass. I did see a small group of pogies get pushed into the shallows but the structure get the big bass from following.
Canal Still lots of bait in the canal being harassed by small fish. The wait is on for the next push of big fish from the north.
Outer Beach Still some good night fishing going on but during the past two weeks getting at the good spots has been challenging with the federal shut down. Glad that is over. Also had a report of big blues in the Race point area.
Tight lines and good luck
