It’s cold an windy, small craft warnings are up. But the outlook for the weekend is better. Less wing, more sun and less rain, although I would keep the rain gear handy.
Outer Cape
The bay is seeing much less traffic since the commercial fleet is off Chatham. I heard of some doing well and some not even getting gas money. Monomoy has produce for some, while plenty of stripers were caught from shore the picture of interest
Cape Cod Bay
It is hard to believe for this late in July, but I’ve heard reports of mackerel working their way into the east of the canal and back out again with the tide. Thus given some good opportunities to both shore fisherman and the boat guys.
Barnstable Harbor
The the fishing has slowed down quite a bit but still some legal bass can be caught. I managed a 28″ on a red tube and worm.
Have a safe weekend out there.
