Just Throw It, Man…

Fall’s here.  The Patriots have returned, and that generally means the fish are preparing to leave.  I know, there’s great fishing going on up and down the coast right now.  We’re undeniably at the beginning of the end.

Strangely, I see us a couple weeks ahead of schedule, but the water temps are holding.  That could mean we’re in for a fall season of epic proportions.  Cape Ann has been on fire and the shore anglers have been having decent success.  An epic outing every time?  Hardly, but now’s probably one of the best chances a shorebound guy gets all year.  Make the most of it.

Do you’re self a favor (after the waves from the Hurricane have subsided, or before, but please, not during) – get out there and just throw it, man!

Mark N. Cahill has been writing and editing for Reel-Time.com since 1995. He started fishing in the mid-1960's and caught his first striper off World's End in Hingham in 1966. From there on in it was an obsession. He loves fishing for tuna, and fly fishing for striped bass. In a pinch, anything with fins will do...
